K - 3 Teacher: Tammie Peltier

I just love teaching in the lower grade classroom!  I currently teach Kindergarten through second grade (2018-2019 school year).  The K - 2 classroom is very hands on in all subject areas and I use a variety of instructional methods to help students master foundational skills.  Helping children explore the world around them and take pride in their learning achievements is my greatest joy.  I feel blessed to be able to share basic Biblical truths in all aspects of teaching.

My Background

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Adventist College.  I received a Masters degree in Curriculum from La Sierra University in California.  I also has certification for teaching Kindergarten.

I taught for 2 years in Alabama before moving to Sequatchie Valley.  I taught grades 1 - 4 in the Dunlap Adventist Christian School from 1988 until 1997 when I took off for 14 years to raise my children.  During my years at home I remained active at the school by working in the  library and teaching art.  I returned to teaching K-2 in 2010.

About Me

In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking and card making.  I also enjoy spending time with my young adult children and staying connected with former students.
